West German Genome Center

In 2018 the undefinedDFG funded the "undefinedWest German Genome Center" (WGGC) as one in four new High-Throughput Sequencing Competence Centres. The WGGC is a cooperation headed by the University of Cologne with the University of Bonn and the University of Düsseldorf. The funding for the WGGC includes 5.3 Million until 2021, with an additional 22 percent programme allowance for indirect project cost. Within the WGGC the GTL functions as the productions site in Düsseldorf specializing in Long-read NGS technology. For this purpose, a undefinedSequel system from Pacific Biosciences and a undefinedGridION X5 platform from Oxford Nanopore Technologies are available at the GTL.

Further information about the West German Genome Center can be found on the undefinedWGGC homepage.
